An established yet modern-approach law firm based in Newport is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join its growing property team. The Role
You will manage your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion, ensuring a high standard of client care and technical expertise throughout. You will work closely with colleagues across the wider property department and benefit from a contemporary working environment with up-to-date systems and streamlined processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling a full residential conveyancing caseload including sales, purchases, freehold, leasehold, remortgages and transfers of equity
- Managing files from initial instruction to post-completion
- Providing clear, timely advice to clients, estate agents, lenders and other third parties
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents and contracts
- Conducting title checks, raising enquiries and reporting on property matters
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal requirements
- Working effectively with support staff and contributing to a positive team culture
About You
- At least 2+ years experience as a Residential Conveyancer (Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor or experienced Fee Earner)
- Confident managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach
- Highly organised, proactive and detail-driven
- Enjoy working in an office-based, collaborative environment
- Comfortable using modern case management systems
