An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Conveyancing Assistant to join a highly experienced Residential Property team based in Exeter. In this role, you will support the team on a wide range of residential property transactions, delivering a first-class service to clients, with a particular focus on onboarding and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance processes.
Key Responsibilities- Client onboarding and file opening in line with AML and SRA requirements
- File management, including scheduling deeds and documents, e-filing and archiving
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies, ethical standards and regulatory requirements
- Managing files diligently and reviewing them regularly
- Understanding client account obligations and ensuring billing complies with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Drafting contracts, initial letters, protocol forms and completion statements
- Submitting property searches and Land Registry searches
- Drafting and submitting Land Registry applications via the Land Registry Portal
- Managing post-exchange and post-completion formalities
The residential conveyancing team has particular expertise in buying and selling high-end residential properties, large country estates and matters involving more complex purchase considerations, both in London and the South West. The team is well known for delivering exceptional client service, with many clients returning for repeat transactions.
