About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Employment Solicitor with 1-4 years’ PQE to join a highly regarded, established South West law firm. Responsibilities
- Advise employers and employees on contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Manage a varied caseload appropriate to your experience
- Advise on disciplinary and grievance procedures, performance management and workplace investigations
- Handle discrimination, whistleblowing, redundancy and unfair dismissal matters
- Draft employment contracts, policies, settlement agreements and related documentation
- Support clients with Employment Tribunal proceedings
- Advise businesses on employment matters arising from corporate transactions and organisational change
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with individuals, businesses and HR professionals
- Support the team’s networking, marketing and business development activities
Qualifications
- Be a qualified solicitor with between 1 and 4 years’ PQE
- Have experience handling a range of employment law matters
- Possess strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness
- Demonstrate excellent drafting, communication and client-care skills
- Be confident managing matters independently while working collaboratively within a team
- Have a proactive approach to professional development and business development
- Be interested in building a long-term career within a respected regional practice
