TSR Legal is delighted to be partnering with a leading regional law firm in the search for an Employment Partner to lead, develop and champion its employment law offering across all office locations throughout Wales and the South West. This is a strategic leadership opportunity within a highly successful and ambitious firm that has experienced significant growth whilst remaining firmly committed to its people, clients and local communities.
With an established footprint across the region, a strong commercial client base and a collaborative culture, the firm is seeking an experienced employment lawyer who can build on strong foundations and establish a market-leading employment practice.
The Opportunity
As Employment Partner, you will take overall responsibility for the firm’s employment offering, working closely with the leadership team and partners across multiple disciplines to drive growth, strengthen client relationships and enhance the firm’s profile throughout Wales and the South West. This role extends far beyond fee earning work. You will become the firm’s employment law ambassador, engaging with clients, professional contacts, business networks and internal stakeholders to ensure employment law remains a key component of the firm’s wider commercial strategy. You will have the platform, autonomy and support to shape the future direction of the practice, develop service offerings and identify opportunities across a client base that ranges from owner-managed businesses through to larger regional employers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the employment law offering across all offices throughout Wales and the South West
- Act as the firm’s principal employment law adviser for business clients and key stakeholders
- Develop and implement a growth strategy for the employment practice
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients whilst generating new business opportunities
- Champion the employment team internally, creating opportunities for collaboration across corporate, commercial property, dispute resolution and private client services
- Represent the firm at business events, networking forums and within the wider professional community
- Mentor and support lawyers within the team, helping to develop future talent
- Contribute to the firm’s broader strategic objectives and continued growth plans

- An experienced Employment Partner or senior employment lawyer with a strong reputation in the market
- Demonstrable experience advising employers across a broad range of employment and HR matters
- Commercially minded, with a proven ability to develop client relationships and generate new opportunities
- A visible and engaging leader who enjoys building teams and fostering collaboration
- Passionate about delivering excellent client service and building long-term trusted relationships
