Child Care Solicitor

TSR Legal are working with an established and expanding law firm seeking an experienced Child Care Solicitor to play a key role in the continued growth of its Family Law offering.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor who is looking for more than simply their next role.

You will have the opportunity to help develop and grow the firm's Public Law Children offering, while benefiting from the support and resources of an established and successful practice.

The Opportunity

You will manage a varied caseload of Public Law Children matters, including Care Proceedings, and represent parents, children and other parties throughout the process.

Alongside your legal work, you will have the opportunity to

  • Undertake advocacy and represent clients in court.
  • Build strong relationships within the local legal and wider community.
  • Play an active role in business development and raising the profile of the department.
  • Contribute to the growth and future direction of the Family Law offering.
  • Work alongside experienced colleagues within a supportive and collaborative environment.

This role would particularly suit someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work and would be excited by the opportunity to help build and shape a growing department.

You will ideally have

  • Qualification as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.
  • Accreditation as a member of the Law Society's Children Panel.
  • Strong experience handling Public Law Children matters and Care Proceedings.
  • Confident advocacy skills and experience representing clients in court.
  • Experience working with publicly funded and Legal Aid matters.
  • A proactive approach and an interest in business development.
