An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Trust and Tax Manager to join a highly regarded and nationally recognised Private Client team based in Cheltenham. This is a varied and rewarding role within a growing firm known for advising high net worth individuals, owner managed businesses and families on complex private wealth matters. The successful candidate will join an established Trust and Tax team and play a key role in the management and administration of trusts and estates, working closely with trustees, beneficiaries and other professional advisers.
The Role Responsibilities
- Managing the day to day administration of trusts
- Liaising with trustees, beneficiaries and professional advisers
- Preparing annual trust accounts, tax returns and R185s
- Preparing inheritance tax returns where required
- Preparing estate accounts and dealing with estate income tax reporting
- Handling Trust Registration Service registrations
- Preparing Capital Gains Tax returns relating to residential property sales
This position offers exposure to a broad and high quality workload within a collaborative and supportive environment.
About You
Applications are welcomed from candidates with previous experience gained within a law firm, accountancy practice, trust company or similar professional environment. You will ideally have:
- Experience in the administration of trusts and estates
- Knowledge of trust and estate taxation
- Strong organisational and client management skills
- The ability to manage a varied caseload independently
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Experience dealing with trusts and estates holding property, family company shares and quoted investments would be advantageous.
