TSR Legal are pleased to be working closely with a leading Top 50 regional law firm in Cheltenham that is currently looking to expand their Conveyancing / Real Estate Finance team. This is a rare non-fee-earning role, providing an exciting opportunity for an experienced conveyancer to work on high-quality property matters without the pressures of billing targets or personal caseloads.
About the Role
The firm’s Real Estate Finance team is their most rapidly growing area, advising a wide range of clients across property sales, acquisitions, development finance, and refinancing. You would be part of a busy, commercially astute team, supporting transactions across multiple sectors and lender types – including banks, challenger lenders, bridging loan companies, and private investors.
As a Conveyancing Executive, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing files and undertaking routine legal tasks with minimal supervision.
- Overseeing file processes including opening, management, and billing.
- Handling legal work such as raising initial enquiries, chasing responses, and drafting further enquiries.
- Drafting and negotiating documents using precedents and templates where appropriate.
- Supervising junior team members and supporting their development.
- Keeping clients and agents updated proactively, ensuring expectations are managed.
- Undertaking legal research and presenting findings accurately and in a timely manner.
- Preparing contract reports, exchange of contracts, completions, and completion statements.
- Supporting the team with marketing events and business development activities.
- Ensuring all work is compliant with the firm’s risk management policies and GDPR.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience within residential or commercial conveyancing.
- Experience in real estate finance would be highly desirable.
- Strong technical ability, excellent drafting skills, and commercial awareness.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.
- The ability to work proactively and independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- A proactive, ambitious approach, with a keen eye for detail.
