The Opportunity
TSR Legal are pleased to be representing an established and well-regarded law firm who are looking to appoint a Senior Auction Conveyancing Solicitor to join its specialist property team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced conveyancer who enjoys fast-paced, technical work and wants to be involved in high-value, time-critical transactions across England and Wales. Auction experience is preferred but not essential; strong residential or commercial property experience combined with the ability to work to tight deadlines will be highly valued.
The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of auction sales and purchases, acting for both buyers and sellers of residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties. Matters are often subject to short turnaround times and require a high level of technical accuracy and commercial awareness.
Your work will include:
- Handling auction conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion
- Reviewing and advising on auction legal packs prior to bidding
- Preparing auction packs for sale, including:
- Obtaining title documentation
- Ordering and reviewing searches
- Liaising with auctioneers to meet marketing and auction deadlines
- Advising purchasers on title issues, risks, and saleability
- Managing post-auction completions within strict contractual timeframes
- Residential, commercial, and mixed-use property
- Specialist lending and bridging finance
Workload & Pace
- High-volume of time-sensitive transactions
- Short exchange-to-completion periods
- Technical title issues and non-standard property matters
- Close collaboration with auctioneers and lenders
About You
- Qualified Solicitor with 6+ years PQE in residential and/or commercial property
- Confident managing complex conveyancing matters independently
- Strong technical knowledge of property law
- Able to work calmly and efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and client-handling skills
- Auction conveyancing experience advantageous but not essential
