TSR Legal are currently supporting a well-regarded law firm in Cardiff who are looking to recruit a talented and motivated Senior Solicitor to join the growing contentious construction team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a nationally recognised team working with leading developers, contractors, funders, and consultants on a diverse range of high-profile construction and infrastructure projects, working with a leading National Partner within the sector.
As a Construction Solicitor, the role will be primarily focused on contentious matters, including drafting and negotiating building contracts, professional appointments, collateral warranties, and related documentation. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a large national construction team, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to complex commercial projects.
About You
- You will ideally be a qualified solicitor (5+ PQE) with experience in contentious construction law.
- Have experience drafting and negotiating standard form and bespoke construction contracts, including JCT and NEC forms.
- Be commercially astute and demonstrate a pragmatic, client-focused approach.
- Enjoy building strong client relationships and be confident in engaging with clients directly.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be a team player with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
