An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Partner to lead and grow the Energy sector team. As Head of Energy, you will set the strategic direction for this key practice area, working alongside colleagues across the firm to deliver expert legal advice to clients operating throughout the energy industry. This is a leadership role with a strong focus on client relationships and market growth. You will lead on complex matters across real estate, corporate, commercial, disputes and employment law, while helping to strengthen the firm’s presence and reputation within the sector.

The Role

  • Strategic Leadership: Shape and deliver the firm’s Energy sector strategy, driving growth, innovation and long term success.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead on high value and complex energy related matters, providing expert advice and guidance across multiple legal disciplines.
  • Market Presence: Raise the profile of the Energy team through thought leadership, networking and active involvement in industry events.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across the firm to provide a seamless, full service offering to clients.

About you

  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 10 years’ PQE.
  • Strong experience advising clients in the energy sector.
  • Proven leadership experience, ideally at Partner or senior leadership level within a UK law firm.
  • Broad expertise across energy related matters, including corporate, commercial, real estate, disputes and employment.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to deliver practical, strategic advice.
  • Skilled at building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Forward thinking, collaborative and keen to embrace innovation and technology.
