The role

The successful Childcare Solicitor will manage a varied caseload and provide high quality advice and representation to clients across South Wales.

The work is likely to include:

• Public and private children proceedings
• Care proceedings
• Child arrangements and specific issue applications
• Advocacy and representation at hearings
• Working closely with Cafcass, local authorities, barristers and other professionals
• Providing clear, practical and sensitive advice to clients
• Developing strong and lasting client relationships
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Family team

The firm is looking for someone who takes pride in the quality of their work and understands that excellent client service is about much more than simply providing legal advice.

The ideal candidate

The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor with experience in childcare and family law, with a strong understanding of the relevant legislation and procedure.

They will ideally have experience of legal aid funded work and be comfortable managing their own caseload and representing clients at hearings.
