TSR Legal is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading national law firm in the search for a Real Estate Finance Associate to join its growing Cardiff office. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious solicitor to join a highly regarded Real Estate Finance team advising a diverse client base that includes banks, alternative lenders, investors, developers, housebuilders and corporate borrowers on a wide range of complex and high value transactions. As part of a nationally recognised team, you will advise on a broad range of real estate finance matters, working closely with colleagues across banking, real estate, corporate and construction teams to deliver commercially focused solutions to clients. You will play a key role in managing transactions from instruction through to completion, building strong client relationships and developing your technical expertise through exposure to complex and varied work. This role offers significant client contact, early responsibility and the opportunity to work directly alongside experienced partners who are committed to supporting the development and progression of their lawyers.
Key Responsibilities- Advising lenders, borrowers, investors and developers on a broad range of real estate finance transactions
- Managing matters from initial instruction through to completion, including maintaining direct client relationships throughout the transaction lifecycle
- Reviewing and reporting on due diligence, title investigations and security documentation
- Drafting, negotiating and advising on finance related property documentation
- Working closely with colleagues across the real estate, banking, corporate and construction teams on multi disciplinary transactions
- Supporting clients on acquisition finance, development finance, investment finance and secured lending matters
- Managing transaction timetables and coordinating with clients, lenders, agents and external advisers
- Contributing to business development activities and helping to strengthen existing client relationships
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to knowledge sharing across the wider team
- A qualified solicitor with at least four years' post qualification experience gained within a recognised real estate finance, banking or commercial property team
- Strong technical skills and experience advising on secured lending and property finance transactions
- Commercially minded with a practical and solutions focused approach
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- A collaborative team player who enjoys working across disciplines and building long term client relationships
- Motivated to contribute to the continued growth and success of a leading national practice
