You will work as part of an experienced clinical negligence team, assisting on complex matters while also beginning to take responsibility for your own files as your experience develops.
The role will involve:- Assisting on a varied caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters.
- Supporting senior solicitors on complex and high-value claims.
- Dealing with matters involving delayed diagnosis, surgical errors, birth injury, fatal claims, inquests and other serious medical negligence issues.
- Drafting letters of claim, witness statements, instructions to experts and other key documents.
- Reviewing medical records and evidence.
- Liaising with clients, experts, counsel and other parties.
- Developing your own caseload under supervision.
- Supporting clients with empathy, professionalism and clear communication.
- Be a Newly Qualified Solicitor or have early post-qualification experience.
- Have completed a seat, paralegal role or previous experience in clinical negligence, personal injury or another claimant litigation area.
- Have strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive matters carefully.
- Be able to work collaboratively as part of a specialist team.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
