The Role - Legal Secretary (Family Law)
This is a brilliant opportunity for a dedicated Legal Secretary to join a busy and friendly Family Law department. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality administrative and secretarial support to fee earners, ensuring clients receive a professional and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing fee earners' diaries and assisting with day-to-day administrative needs
- Preparing files for billing
- Handling incoming calls, emails, post, and internal messages
- Typing correspondence, photocopying, filing, scanning, and opening new matters
- Providing a calm, supportive, and professional service to clients, particularly those navigating sensitive family matters
- Preparing straightforward legal documents
- Ensuring compliance with LEXCEL standards and relevant regulatory requirements
- Understanding basic Solicitors Accounts Rules relating to receipts, payments, and client accounting
- Liaising with clients and third parties to facilitate progress on matters
- Assisting with postal duties and providing occasional reception cover
