With a longstanding reputation for providing trusted legal services to clients across Ceredigion and beyond, the firm is continuing to expand and is now seeking a motivated Paralegal or Trainee who is committed to progressing towards Solicitor qualification. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their legal career who is looking to build their future within a supportive, established, and forward-thinking practice.
The Role
Working closely with experienced solicitors across a range of practice areas, you will gain valuable hands-on experience while providing essential support to the wider team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Client contact, drafting documentation, undertaking legal research, and assisting with ongoing casework.
For the right candidate, this position is intended to develop into a formal training pathway—whether through the traditional Training Contract route or the SQE qualification route.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting solicitors with a variety of legal matters, including administrative and procedural tasks
- Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and emails
- Conducting legal research and presenting findings
- Liaising with clients, external organisations, and courts
- Preparing files for hearings, meetings, and deadlines
- Maintaining accurate file records and effective case management
- Proactively building legal knowledge and contributing to team success
About You
- A Law degree (or equivalent), or currently completing legal studies
- A genuine ambition to qualify as a Solicitor
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively
- Proactive, reliable, and eager to learn
- A collaborative team member with a professional, client-focused approach
- Any prior legal or administrative experience is beneficial but not essential
