As People & Culture Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience across the business, leading the people function and contributing to wider strategic decisions as part of the Management Team.
The Opportunity
Reporting into senior leadership, you will oversee all aspects of the people function, ensuring the delivery of a proactive, commercially focused and supportive HR service across multiple office locations. This role offers a unique blend of operational and strategic responsibilities, making it ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships, driving engagement initiatives and influencing positive organisational change. You will lead a small HR team while partnering with managers and leaders across the business to support performance, development, wellbeing and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Leadership
- Lead the People & Culture function across the firm.
- Contribute to business strategy and operational decision-making as a member of the Management Team.
- Develop and implement people strategies that support business growth and employee engagement.
- Champion the firm's culture, values and employee experience initiatives.
- Employee Lifecycle & Talent Management
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, retention and offboarding processes.
- Manage talent attraction and employer branding initiatives.
- Support career development, succession planning and learning programmes.
- Ensure exceptional onboarding experiences for all new starters.
- Employee Relations & Compliance
- Lead on complex employee relations matters, providing pragmatic and commercially focused advice.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Review and develop HR policies, procedures and processes.
- Support business change projects and organisational development initiatives.
- People Engagement & Wellbeing
- Drive employee engagement programmes and wellbeing initiatives.
- Support diversity, equity and inclusion objectives.
- Organise people-focused events and activities that strengthen culture and collaboration.
- Promote a positive, inclusive and high-performing working environment.
- HR Operations
- Manage HR systems, reporting and people data.
- Oversee payroll delivery in conjunction with external providers.
- Manage employee benefits administration and provider relationships.
- Lead and develop the People & Culture team, ensuring high service standards across the business.
About You
We are keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
- CIPD qualification.
- Previous experience in a People Manager, HR Manager or People & Culture Manager position.
- Strong generalist HR experience across the full employee lifecycle.
- Experience managing employee relations matters and advising senior stakeholders.
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Previous experience leading and developing HR team members.
- Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused and commercially minded approach.
- The ability to influence, challenge and build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.
