TSR Legal is delighted to be working with a respected regional law firm that is looking to appoint a Private Client Assistant to support its established and growing Private Client department. This opportunity would suit an organised and personable individual who enjoys working closely with clients and supporting legal professionals on a range of private client matters. Whether you already have experience within wills, probate and estate administration or are looking to develop your legal career in this area, this role offers excellent training, support and long-term progression.
Joining a friendly and collaborative team, you will play an important role in helping to deliver a high standard of service to clients while supporting fee earners with the day-to-day management of private client matters. You will gain exposure to a broad range of work and become involved in matters from initial instruction through to completion.
Key DutiesYour responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Supporting fee earners with probate and estate administration matters
- Preparing legal documentation and client correspondence
- Liaising with clients, beneficiaries and third parties
- Arranging appointments and document execution meetings
- Maintaining and updating case management systems
- Managing files and ensuring key deadlines are met
- Providing administrative support across the Private Client team
The successful candidate will be organised, proactive and capable of managing a varied workload in a professional environment. You will ideally possess:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and file management abilities
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure
- A professional and client-focused approach
Experience within a private client department would be advantageous, although candidates with a legal qualification, law degree or transferable legal support experience are also encouraged to apply. Knowledge of AML procedures, GDPR requirements and regulatory compliance would be beneficial.
