Legal Cashier / Finance Assistant
Hours: Part-time 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 10am3pm)
Location: Office based in Pontypridd during the 6-month probation period, with hybrid working available thereafter (a mix of home and office-based work)
Salary: £25,000 £27,500 FTE (pro-rata based on hours and experience)

About the Role:
TSR Legal is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established law firm for a Legal Cashier / Finance Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in legal finance who is looking for a supportive environment with flexible working options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Purchase Ledger: Accurately record, process, and pay invoices and staff expenses
- Reconcile invoices to nominal codes, ensuring accuracy in ledger entries
- Assist the Senior Finance Manager with cashflow forecasting and management
- Process conveyancing completion packs, ensuring all financial records are compliant and accurate
- Prepare and submit telegraphic transfers with appropriate documentation and authorisations
- Investigate and resolve account queries, liaising effectively with solicitors and fee earners
- Handle client-to-office account transfers in line with compliance and billing protocols
- Conduct regular reconciliations of Client and Office Accounts, addressing any discrepancies
About You:
- Previous experience in a similar finance/accounts role within a legal practice is essential
- Strong working knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules
- Proficient in Xero accounting software
- Payroll experience is a bonus but not essential
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Discreet and trustworthy with sensitive financial information
