A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Counsel to join a high profile organisation in a genuinely in house role, based at their central Cardiff offices. This position offers a broad and engaging legal remit, covering a wide range of commercial and corporate matters. The successful candidate will advise on commercial transactions, corporate and M and A activity, intellectual property, contractual agreements, data protection, regulatory compliance and general risk management. You will be expected to provide clear, pragmatic and commercially focused advice, with the ability to assess contractual risk efficiently.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified solicitor with a minimum of four plus years PQE
- Have trained and or practised within a respected law firm or a comparable in house environment
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and strong commercial awareness
- Be confident managing matters independently while working collaboratively with internal stakeholders
Relevant experience should include:
- Contract drafting, negotiation and contract management
- Intellectual property matters
- Sponsorship and commercial partnership agreements
- Supplier, vendor and procurement contracts
- Corporate transactions including acquisitions and general corporate advisory work
