Serious Injury Personal Injury Paralegal Location: Bristol (Hybrid Working) Salary: Up to Β£40,000 DOE Working Pattern: Hybrid | two days in the office and three days working from home The Opportunity TSR Legal is working in partnership with a leading national law firm to recruit a Personal Injury Paralegal to join its established Serious and Catastrophic Injury team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Paralegal with experience handling their own claimant personal injury caseload to work on complex and rewarding matters, representing individuals who have sustained serious injuries as a result of road traffic accidents. The role will focus on claims involving motorcyclists, cyclists, pedestrians and other vulnerable road users, offering exposure to a varied caseload and the opportunity to develop your expertise within a specialist personal injury team. The Role As a Personal Injury Paralegal, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload of Fast Track and Intermediate Track claims, with a particular focus on serious injury matters. Your responsibilities will include: Managing a varied caseload of claimant personal injury matters involving motor and vulnerable road users. Handling claims from initial instruction through to litigation, including issuing proceedings and progressing cases towards trial where required. Conducting litigation and taking ownership of files, ensuring matters progress efficiently and in accordance with relevant deadlines. Dealing with complex injury claims involving polytrauma, chronic pain conditions and psychiatric injuries. Communicating effectively with clients, insurers and other relevant parties throughout the claims process. Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with service standards, procedures and relevant requirements. Managing client expectations and providing a professional, empathetic and high-quality service. Participating in team meetings and contributing to the wider success of the department. Supporting and sharing knowledge with junior colleagues where appropriate. About You We are keen to hear from skilled Personal Injury Paralegals or Senior Case Handlers who are confident managing their own caseload and have a strong background in claimant litigation. You will ideally have: Previous experience handling your own claimant personal injury caseload. Experience dealing with motor and vulnerable road user claims. A good understanding of Fast Track and Intermediate Track litigation. Experience progressing matters through the litigation process, from issuing proceedings through to trial. Exposure to complex injury claims, including polytrauma, pain disorders and psychiatric injuries. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach to client care. Confidence using case management systems and preparing your own correspondence and documentation. A proactive, practical approach to work and the ability to contribute positively to a collaborative team. Experience with moderate brain injury and fatal injury claims would be advantageous but is not essential. You do not need to be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive for this position. The opportunity is well suited to an experienced Paralegal or Case Handler who has the technical ability and confidence to run their own files. What's on Offer?
