TSR Legal is pleased to be working with a well-established and highly respected law firm seeking a Legal Conveyancing Assistant to join its busy Residential Property team in Weston-super-Mare. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised conveyancing professional looking to further develop their career within a supportive and experienced team. The role offers genuine variety, exposure to a broad range of residential property matters, and the opportunity to play an integral role in delivering outstanding client service.
The Role
Working closely with Fee Earners and the wider Conveyancing Team, you will provide comprehensive administrative and transactional support across a busy caseload of residential property matters. Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Fee Earners with day-to-day conveyancing transactions
- Managing client communications and providing regular updates on matter progression
- Drafting correspondence and legal documentation
- Opening new matters and maintaining files through to completion and final billing
- Managing diaries, appointments and key transaction deadlines
- Updating and maintaining case management systems and databases
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties
- Assisting with general administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the department
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience working within a residential conveyancing environment
- Excellent typing and administrative skills with strong attention to detail
- Outstanding organisational and time-management abilities
- Confidence communicating professionally with clients and colleagues
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
- A proactive and team-focused approach to work
- Experience using Connect and RedBrick legal software would be advantageous but is not essential.
