TSR Legal is delighted to be working with a leading national law firm that is seeking a skilled Non-Motor Personal Injury Case Handler to join its established claimant personal injury team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal or Case Handler looking to manage their own caseload of Employer's Liability and Public Liability claims within a supportive and highly regarded legal practice.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing your own caseload of claimant personal injury matters, handling claims valued up to £25,000 through both the MoJ Portal and non-Portal processes, from pre-litigation through to settlement or litigation where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of claimant personal injury files independently.
  • Handle Employer's Liability and Public Liability claims through and outside the MoJ Portal.
  • Progress Fast Track claims efficiently using a case management system.
  • Liaise with clients, insurers, medical experts and third-party solicitors.
  • Ensure compliance with internal service standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Attend regular file review and risk assessment meetings.
  • Manage client expectations and resolve any issues or complaints professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records and update case management systems throughout the life of each claim.

About You

To be considered, you should have:

  • Previous experience managing a claimant personal injury caseload.
  • Working knowledge of the MoJ Portal process.
  • Experience handling Fast Track personal injury claims.
  • Familiarity with legal case management systems.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • Sound legal research and analytical abilities.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team.
  • A Law degree, CILEx qualification or equivalent would be advantageous but is not essential.

Working Pattern

35 hours per week Monday to Friday Core working hours between 8:00am and 6:00pm Hybrid working available (2 days in the Bristol office and 3 days working from home)
