TSR Legal is delighted to be working with a leading and highly regarded law firm in Frome that is looking to recruit an experienced Legal Secretary to join its busy and supportive team. The Role

Working closely with fee earners and wider support teams, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the department. The successful candidate will provide efficient secretarial and administrative support while delivering exceptional client service in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audio and copy typing of legal correspondence and documentation
  • Diary management, arranging meetings, and coordinating appointments
  • Preparing legal documents, forms, and client care correspondence
  • Handling telephone calls, emails, and client enquiries professionally
  • Opening, maintaining, and closing client files in line with compliance procedures
  • Supporting fee earners with file progression and administration
  • Liaising with clients, third parties, and external organisations
  • Maintaining accurate records using the firms case management system
  • Assisting with billing and document management where required

About You

  • Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary within a law firm is essential
  • Strong audio typing and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication and client care abilities
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines effectively
  • Professional, proactive, and team-focused approach
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
  • Experience within conveyancing, private client, family, or litigation would be advantageous
