Accounts Administrator Devizes | Full-Time | Permanent | Competitive Salary TSR Legal is delighted to be working with a leading, long-established law firm in Wiltshire that is looking to appoint an Accounts Administrator to join its friendly and supportive finance team based in Devizes.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accounts or legal finance experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, teamwork and exceptional client service are at the heart of everything.
The Opportunity As an Accounts Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the firm's financial operations, ensuring the smooth processing of client transactions and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
Working closely with the wider accounts team, you will support fee earners across multiple departments and contribute to the efficient day-to-day running of the firm's finance function.
Key Responsibilities Managing day-to-day online client banking transactions.
Processing all stages of conveyancing completions, from reviewing completion packs through to handling completion funds.
Posting transactions to client ledgers, including costs, fees, disbursements and client monies.
Processing client debit card payments, cheques and cash receipts.
Maintaining accurate client ledger records.
Assisting with month-end reporting.
Supporting payment runs and operational finance processes.
Entering supplier invoices onto the accounts system.
Providing accounts support across the wider business.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous experience working within a busy accounts or finance environment.
Excellent attention to detail and strong data entry skills.
The ability to manage competing priorities and work to daily deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive and organised approach to your workload.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
A collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues across the business.
Desirable Experience Applications are particularly welcomed from candidates with experience in: Legal accounts or law firm finance.
Sage Accounts or similar finance systems.
Bookkeeping.
Handling client monies.
Knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
