TSR Legal are working with a forward-thinking legal services provider, who are now seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead on UK-wide sales strategy and growth initiatives. The successful candidate will report directly to the board and play a pivotal role in the organisation’s strategic expansion. This is a permanent role with competitive base salary, uncapped commission potential, and opportunities for national impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Gaining an in-depth understanding of the organisation’s legal products and service offerings.
- Designing and delivering a UK-wide sales strategy aimed at increasing both sales volume and average client spend.
- Developing and executing a national recruitment plan to build and lead a high-performing sales team.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the legal sector.
- Conducting ongoing market and business analysis to inform sales strategy.
- Managing and strengthening key client and customer relationships.
- Coordinating, qualifying, and attending new business meetings (both in person and remotely).
- Preparing proposals and business cases, demonstrating clear return on investment (ROI).
- Exploring additional revenue streams and diversification opportunities.
- Maintaining accurate records and expanding the CRM database.
- Providing regular performance and opportunity reports to the board (monthly).
- Meeting and exceeding individual and team-based sales targets.
- Collaborating across departments to ensure messaging, service delivery, and strategy alignment.
- Enhancing the organisation’s sales and marketing communications internally.
