About the Role
TSR Legal is working with a well-established law firm in central Swansea that is looking to appoint a Private Family Legal Assistant to join a small and close-knit team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary with previous family law experience, ideally within private family work, to provide high-quality support to a small team of fee earners. You will play an important role in the smooth running of the department, working closely with the lawyers and assisting with the day-to-day management of a varied private family caseload.
The Role
- Providing comprehensive administrative and legal support to a small team of fee earners
- Assisting with the day-to-day management of private family matters
- Preparing correspondence and legal documentation
- Managing files and maintaining accurate case records
- Diary management and arranging appointments, meetings and conferences
- Liaising professionally with clients, counsel and other third parties
- Assisting with the preparation of court documentation and bundles
- Opening and closing files and maintaining appropriate file management procedures
- Assisting with billing, time recording and general administration
- Monitoring deadlines and ensuring fee earners have the support they need
- Providing a professional and sensitive point of contact for clients
About You
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a legal environment and, ideally, have worked within family law. Private family experience would be particularly beneficial, with an understanding of the sensitive nature of matters such as divorce, financial matters and child arrangements.
