TSR Legal has recently been instructed to assist a highly regarded South Wales law firm as they look to strengthen their Clinical Negligence department with the appointment of an additional Solicitor at NQ to 2 years PQE based in Swansea. Our client has an excellent reputation for claimant work and has developed a strong specialist offering representing individuals and families in complex clinical negligence matters.

The team handles a broad spectrum of cases ranging from relatively straightforward claims through to complex and high-value litigation. Due to continued growth within the department, the firm is now looking to recruit an ambitious junior solicitor who has a genuine interest in developing a career specialising in Clinical Negligence.

Applications are welcomed from newly qualified solicitors who have gained relevant experience during their training contract, as well as solicitors with up to two years' post-qualification experience. Working alongside experienced Clinical Negligence lawyers, you will assist with and gradually take responsibility for a varied caseload. Matters may include delayed diagnosis, surgical negligence, birth injuries, fatal claims, orthopaedic injuries and other cases arising from negligent medical treatment.

You will gain experience taking initial instructions from clients, reviewing medical records, instructing medical experts and counsel, preparing witness evidence, dealing with disclosure and assisting with the progression of claims through negotiation and litigation. The successful candidate will need strong client-care skills, attention to detail and the ability to deal sensitively with clients who are often facing extremely difficult circumstances.

This is an excellent opportunity for an NQ or junior solicitor looking to specialise within an established Clinical Negligence team whilst receiving strong supervision, exposure to quality work and clear opportunities for progression.
