The successful candidate will manage a varied and manageable residential conveyancing caseload from initial instruction through to post-completion, while also taking on a degree of supervision and mentoring responsibility within the team.

The Role

You will work closely with the Legal Director and Head of Private Client Residential, taking responsibility for your own residential conveyancing caseload while supporting the wider team. • Working closely with Legal Secretaries, Paralegals and Trainee Paralegals to ensure matters progress smoothly.
  • Providing supervision, guidance and support to colleagues within the team, including stepping into a supervisory capacity in the absence of the Legal Director.
  • Identifying and resolving issues proactively and taking ownership of matters through to completion.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic and paper-based client records.
  • Supporting the continued development of the team through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
  • Contributing positively to the wider team and acting as an ambassador for the firm.
  • Keeping up to date with relevant legal, regulatory and technological developments.

About You

We are looking for an experienced residential property professional with a strong technical understanding of the conveyancing process and a genuine focus on delivering excellent client service.

You will ideally have:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor, FCILEx or CLC Registered Conveyancer.
  • 6+ years' PQE / equivalent experience is desirable.
  • Strong experience handling a residential conveyancing caseload independently.
  • A detailed understanding of residential property law and current conveyancing procedures.
  • Excellent client care and communication skills.
  • Previous supervisory, mentoring or team support experience, or the confidence to take on these responsibilities.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with support staff and other fee earners.
  • Confidence working in a pressurised environment while maintaining a positive and professional approach.
  • Strong IT skills and the ability to adapt to new systems and technological developments.
