TSR Legal is currently working with a successful and growing legal business that is looking to appoint a Conveyancing Assistant to join its residential property team in Cheltenham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career within residential conveyancing, whether you already have legal experience or are looking to take your first step into the profession. You will work closely with Solicitors and Fee Earners, supporting the progression of residential property transactions and gaining exposure to a broad range of conveyancing matters.
The Role
- Handling incoming calls, emails and other communications and responding to queries promptly
- Assisting with the preparation and verification of new client care documentation
- Completing client identification and source of funds checks
- Assisting with title checks under the direction of a Fee Earner
- Preparing and issuing contract packs
- Obtaining redemption statements
- Assisting with pre-contract enquiries on sale files
- Preparing pre-completion documentation, including invoices and statements of account
- Keeping the case management system fully updated
- Monitoring and progressing tasks to ensure matters move forward efficiently
- Providing general administrative and conveyancing support to Fee Earners
- Liaising with clients, estate agents and other third parties
- Building positive professional relationships through excellent client service
- Completing tasks and assisting with wider departmental requirements as directed
About You
We are looking for someone who is professional, organised and genuinely interested in developing a career within residential property. Previous conveyancing or legal experience would be advantageous, but it is not essential. Candidates with strong administrative, customer service or graduate backgrounds who can demonstrate a genuine interest in property law will also be considered. You will ideally have:
