A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join a well-established and growing legal practice in Tewkesbury. This role comes at an exciting time for the firm as it continues to expand its private client offering and strengthen its senior leadership team. The firm has built a strong reputation in the region for delivering high-quality legal services to individuals and families. Known for its collaborative culture and exceptionally strong staff retention, the firm offers a supportive environment where experienced lawyers can take real ownership of their work while playing a key role in the development of the department.
This position would suit an experienced private client lawyer with management or supervisory experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and help shape the direction of a growing team.
The role will involve:
- Managing a varied caseload of private client matters including wills, probate, estate administration and lasting powers of attorney.
- Advising clients on estate planning, inheritance tax considerations and wealth protection strategies.
- Supervising and mentoring junior members of the team.
- Supporting the strategic growth and development of the private client department.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional referrers.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Be a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 7+ years’ PQE in private client law.
- Have strong technical experience across wills, probate and estate planning.
- Demonstrate previous management or supervisory experience within a legal team.
- Possess excellent client care and communication skills.
- Be proactive and commercially minded, with an interest in contributing to the continued growth of the department.
