The Supply Room is currently recruiting for a Specialist Sensory and Physical College located in the South West of London. This warm and welcoming school is rated Good on Ofsted. They cater for pupils who are visually impaired, including those who are multi-disabled visually impaired, deaf-blind and have more profound learning difficulties and complex health needs.
You do not need to have previous experience as full training will be provided from our experienced team. We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Learning Mentor to support pupils through positive behaviour support, so experience with challenging behaviour would be beneficial but attitude is key.
All staff support the learning and development of pupils who have visual impairment together with physical and communication difficulties. This involves support in the classroom and includes physical work and personal care of pupils, including for some medical interventions.
The leadership structure is supportive and designed to provide the best for teaching, learning and care, all with the goal of maximising the learning opportunities for all children.
