We are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Sales Executive to join our expanding timber and construction supplies business in Oxford.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, winning new business, and helping customers find practical solutions. You’ll be joining a fast-growing company supplying timber, landscaping products, and building materials to contractors, developers, builders, landscapers, and trade customers across Oxfordshire and the wider UK.

The Role

As Sales Executive, you will play a key role in driving business growth by developing new customer relationships while managing and growing existing accounts.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Generating new business opportunities through outbound sales activity and networking
  • Building long‑term relationships with contractors, developers, builders, joinery companies, landscapers, and trade customers
  • Understanding customer requirements and recommending suitable timber and building material solutions
  • Preparing quotations, following up enquiries, negotiating pricing, and securing orders
  • Managing a portfolio of existing customers and maximising repeat business opportunities
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to increase sales and account value
  • Working closely with purchasing, logistics, and operations teams to ensure excellent customer service
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records and tracking sales activity
  • Achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Previous experience in Sales, Business Development, Account Management, or a customer‑facing commercial role
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities
  • Self‑motivated with a proactive and results‑driven attitude
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and CRM systems

Desirable

  • Experience within timber, construction, building materials, landscaping, merchanting, or related industries
  • Existing network of trade customers across Oxfordshire and surrounding counties
  • Full UK Driving Licence
