Seeking a Web3 & Smart-Contract Developer (Co-Founder/Partner) – ideally UK Based but open to non UK applicants. Are you passionate about blockchain, tokenomics, and sustainability? Do you dream of building products that merge fashion, finance, and real-world impact? If so, TSOMB (The Shirt On My Back) wants you. We’re on a mission to democratize crypto investing through a tangible, eco-friendly wearable—a cold-storage crypto wallet woven into a t-shirt—and we need a technical co-founder to bring the vision to life.
About TSOMB
- TSOMB Ltd. is a London-based startup creating the world’s first fully sustainable, tokenized wearables.
- Each TSOMB T-shirt:
- Holds a cold wallet: The private key is securely embroidered inside; the public key is accessible via a wash-safe QR label and PVC card tag.
- Embodies sustainability: Organic cotton, recycled packaging, and a pledge to plant one tree per shirt.
- Tokenizes equity: Every shirt comes with TSOMB Vested Tokens (equity in TSOMB) stored in the embedded wallet; dividends are paid in TSOMB Hedge Tokens.
- Connects community to finance: We’re launching our first 600 proof-of-concept shirts via Kickstarter and plan to expand into hoodies, caps, and home goods—all embedding cold-storage wallets and tokenized equity.
Our long-term vision is a dual ecosystem: a sustainable fashion brand and a community-driven hedge fund, powered by wearable tokens. We want everyday people—tech-savvy and non-tech alike—to own a piece of the company simply by wearing a t-shirt.
Why Join TSOMB as a Technical Co-Founder?
- Equity Ownership: Meaningful equity share through our TSOMB Vested Token model.
- Innovative Product: Shape the world’s first fashion-integrated cold-storage wallet.
- Purpose & Impact: Help us merge crypto adoption with environmental stewardship (1 shirt = 1 tree).
- London Hub: Primarily remote with occasional in-person sprints (co-working space in Shoreditch).
- Early-Stage Influence: You’ll define the technical architecture—from smart contracts to CI/CD and security audits.
What You’ll Build & Lead
- Smart-Contract & Token Architecture: Design and implement the TSOMB Vested Token (equity token) and TSOMB Hedge Token (dividend token) on Ethereum (ERC-20/ERC-721/ERC-1155/4626 standards).
- Define proxy/upgradeable patterns (e.g., OpenZeppelin Proxy, Diamond Standard) for future extensibility (companion app, Chip Phase 2).
- Integrate token issuance with our cold-storage method (embedded wallets), enabling registration (public key) and optional custodial flows (private key registration) on-chain.
- Build staking/reward mechanisms for tree-planting and community incentives.
Wallet & On-Chain/Off-Chain Integration:
- Architect the flow for embedding keys into garments (QR labels, embroidered private keys) and linking them to on-chain addresses.
- Develop backend APIs (Node.js/TypeScript or similar) to support:
- Wallet registration (public key whitelisting, custodial vs. non-custodial logic).
- Dividend distribution in TSOMB Hedge Tokens to physical (cold) or registered wallets.
- Token exchange: allowing holders to swap Vested Tokens for official company shares after 1 year.
- QR-based wallet top-ups (integrate with Coinbase/Revolut/other rails).
- Real-time balance and dividend tracking.
- Tree-planting impact dashboard (web3-verified).
Security, Testing & Audits:
- Implement robust unit testing (Hardhat/Truffle, Waffle) and fuzz testing (Echidna).
- Integrate Slither/MythX in CI pipelines for static analysis.
- Manage external audits and coordinate bug bounty programs.
- Ensure GDPR-compliant data handling for registered users.
Future Migrations & Phase 2 R&D:
- Architect smart contracts for the optional Crypto Garment Chip (NFC/QR-based on-garment interactions).
- Plan for multi-chain expansion (Polygon, BSC, Solana/Rust, Polkadot/Ink) as we add new token types and lower gas fees.
- Build modularity to support future products (hoodies, home wear) embedding wallets.
Who We’re Looking For
- Solid Blockchain Background: 3 + years of professional smart-contract development, with public repositories or live dApps.
- Deep Solidity Expertise: ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, ERC-4626; upgradeable patterns (proxy, diamond); gas optimization; security best practices.
- Full-Stack Web3 Skills: Comfortable integrating front-end frameworks (React/Vue) with ethers.js/web3.js/wagmi. Experience building companion dashboards or NFT marketplaces is a plus.
- Strong Security Mindset: Familiar with Slither, MythX, Echidna, and orchestrating external audits. Able to write thorough unit/fuzz/integration tests.
- Product-Focused & Collaborative: You’ll be making architectural decisions, writing documentation, and partnering directly with founders. Excellent communication skills (English) are a must.
- London-Based (or Willing to Relocate): Ideally within commutable distance for occasional in-person sprints.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Rust/Ink experience (for potential Solana/Polkadot expansion).
- Familiarity with off-chain indexing (The Graph, Subgraph deployments).
- Prior work in wearable tech or IoT (NFC/embedded systems).
- Passion for sustainability, fashion, and community-driven finance.
Why TSOMB Is Different
- Wearable Wealth: We’re not building another hardware wallet or dApp—we’re embedding cold storage directly into high-quality, eco-friendly garments.
- Physical & Digital Equity: Instead of a standard cap table, every shirt is tokenized equity. TSOMB Vested Tokens live in your apparel until you choose to register them—nothing like this exists in fashion or crypto today.
- Sustainability at the Core: With every shirt sold, we plant a tree. And soon we’ll manage our own TSOMB Forest Reserves, giving token holders real-time impact metrics.
- Early Stage, Massive Potential: We’re just launching our first 600 Kickstarter shirts. Your code will underpin our entire ecosystem—there’s no “throwaway MVP.”
