We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our Rugby Operations Workshop. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with our Quality Management System (QMS), carrying out daily inspections, and supporting continuous improvement activities. This is a hands-on role, working closely with production and engineering teams to embed quality at every stage of the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspecting and measuring components against engineering drawings and standards.
  • Supporting APQP, FMEA, and generating First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102).
  • Leading and supporting internal and external audits.
  • Investigating non-conformances, conducting root cause analysis (8D, A3, Ishikawa, 5 Whys).
  • Developing and reviewing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality Plans.

Experience

  • Experience in inspection and the use of mechanical measuring equipment.
  • Background in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 & AS9102 standards.
  • Familiarity with Gauge R&R, MSA, and root cause analysis methods.
