Compex Electrician

Quartzelec is seeking highly motivated and ambitious individuals to join our established Ex Electrical business in Aberdeen. The following baseline requirements are essential, with training provided to meet the diverse needs within the Marine Engineering, Oil and Gas, and Onshore Contracting industries.

Key Responsibilities & Accountability

• Collaborate with a team of engineers to perform EX (Explosion-Proof) installations, maintenance, and reactive services
• Read and interpret electrical technical drawings from marine, commercial, and industrial sectors
• Perform electrical installations across various sectors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
• Conduct inspection and testing of electrical systems and components
• Demonstrate strong fault-finding skills, particularly with motors and control systems

Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes

The successful applicant will possess:

• Completion of a Time-Served Electrical Apprenticeship
• Proven expertise in electrical installations and fault diagnosis
• Valid CompEx EX 01-04 certification for hazardous area operations
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate (preferred)
• Experience with Testing and Inspection to the 18th Edition BS7671 standards (highly beneficial)
