A leading national provider of Automatic Entrance Systems is looking to recruit an experienced Automatic Door Engineer to join their growing team covering the Blackpool, Burnley, Bradford and Leeds regions. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking for a long-term career with a well-established business that values its people, offers strong earning potential through overtime, and invests heavily in training and development.
The Role
- Service, maintenance, repair and fault-finding on automatic door systems
- Working on sliding, swing and revolving doors
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with EN16005 safety standards
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults
- Delivering excellent customer service on client sites
- Liaising with customers, management and internal teams
- Maintaining van stock levels and completing paperwork accurately
- Participating in a 1 in 8 call-out rota
- Supporting installation projects when required
The role is predominantly focused on automatic doors, although experience with industrial doors, shutters, gates and barriers would be highly advantageous.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within the automatic door industry
- EN16005 qualification
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- ADSA, DHF and IPAF certifications are advantageous
- Experience with industrial doors, gates or barriers would be beneficial
Hours & Overtime
- Standard Hours: 42.5 hours per week
- Overtime available and regularly offered
- Time & Half and Double Time rates available
- £140 Standby Payment per on-call week
- £80 Call-Out Bonus
- Additional overtime rates paid for all call-outs
