TSM Technical is working in partnership with a leading name in the door systems industry to recruit an experienced Service Engineer for the Midlands region.

The role involves a mix of service, maintenance, installation, and fault-finding on automatic and industrial door systems with strong overtime potential and a standout benefits package.
Territory Coverage
This is a field-based role covering:
Core Areas: Leicester (LE), Peterborough (PE), Coventry (CV), Northampton (NN), Milton Keynes (MK), Hitchin (SG), Luton (LU)
Occasional Travel: Nottingham (NG), Derby (DE), Birmingham (B)
What Youll Be Doing
- Install, service, and maintain automatic doors, industrial doors, and shutters
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs
- Complete all job documentation via tablet (iPad provided)
- Participate in an on-call rota (1 in 5/6 weeks) with standby & call-out pay
- Maintain excellent customer relationships on-site
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with compliance standards
What Were Looking For
Essential:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an automatic door engineer.
- EN16005 or BS7036 qualified (or willing to obtain)
- Confident with diagnostics and mechanical/electrical systems
- Full UK driving licence
- IT literate comfortable using tablets and basic software
Desirable:
- Experience with industrial doors (desirable)
- IPAF, PASMA or CSCS cards
- Experience with shutters, sectional doors, or fire doors
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Whats On Offer
Pay & Hours:
- Basic Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum (based on hourly rate)
- OTE: £60,000+ achievable with overtime, on-call, and bonuses
- Hours: Paid door-to-door
- Overtime: Time and a half, double time on Sundays/bank holidays
On-Call Details:
- 1 in 5 or 6 weeks
- £175 per week standby pay
- Additional £50 if attending 4 jobs during standby
- £50 bonus for midnight callouts + 11 hours rest paid the next day
