Regional Field Service Manager South Region
Location: Centrally based within the region (travel to engineers required)
Salary: Up to £60,000 per year (depending on experience) + efficiency bonus
Hours: 40 hours per week, full-time, permanent

About the Role
TSM Technical is recruiting on behalf of a leading UK manufacturer and service provider of automatic pedestrian door systems and aluminium shopfronts. They are seeking a Regional Field Service Manager to lead and develop their field engineering teams across the South Region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a manager with strong leadership skills who wants to make a real impact. You will oversee and support a team of engineers, ensuring high standards of service, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction, while fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Performance: Manage all aspects of field team operations including van usage, stock control, holiday approvals, sickness monitoring, appraisals, training, and performance management.
  • Operational Oversight: Supervise call-out rotas, customer queries, site surveys, and meetings. Ensure engineers complete all required documentation, including worksheets, timesheets, customer paperwork, portals, and training requirements.
  • Compliance & Quality: Conduct live audits and ensure quarterly site audits are completed. Monitor Health & Safety compliance across the team.
  • Training & Development: Identify skill gaps and training needs. Deliver toolbox talks and coordinate technical training through team leads.
  • Planning & Efficiency: Collaborate with planning teams to optimise schedules and meet PPM and SLA targets.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Lead regular team calls and attend management meetings. Share feedback and insights to support continuous improvement.
  • Recruitment & Growth: Identify recruitment needs and support interviewing and onboarding processes.

Essential Criteria

  • ADSA EN16005 trained
  • Proven experience as a service engineer with strong product knowledge and fault-finding skills, capable of delivering permanent on-site solutions
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience supporting team development
  • Confident in delivering toolbox talks and supporting training initiatives
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Awareness of Health & Safety regulations
  • High-quality workmanship and attention to detail
