Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Salary: Up to £19.50 per hour + Overtime + On-Call + Quarterly Bonus

Salary & Benefits:

About the Company:

TSM Technical are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing specialist within the perimeter security industry. Our client is recognised for delivering high-quality installation, service and maintenance solutions across automatic gates, barriers, bollards, turnstiles, access control systems, roller shutters and automatic doors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Gate & Barrier Service Engineer to join their expanding engineering team covering London and the surrounding areas.

The Role:

This is a field-based role responsible for the service, maintenance, fault finding and repair of a wide range of gate and barrier systems across commercial, industrial and high-security sites throughout London and the surrounding areas. Working independently, you'll be responsible for ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently while delivering a professional service to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintain and repair automatic gates, barriers, bollards and turnstiles
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Attend reactive breakdowns and emergency call-outs
  • Work on associated access control equipment where required
  • Complete electronic job sheets and service documentation
  • Deliver excellent customer service on-site
  • Participate in the on-call rota
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience within the gate and barrier industry
  • Proven experience servicing and maintaining automatic gates and barriers
  • Experience working on bollards and turnstiles
  • Experience with roller shutters or automatic doors would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Professional, customer-focused approach
  • DHF or ADIA accreditation would be beneficial (training can be provided)
  • Full UK driving licence
