TSM Technical is currently recruiting on behalf of a long-established and highly respected company in the entrance systems industry. We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Automatic Door Service Engineer to join their expanding servicing team in the South West and South Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation with over 30 years of experience and play a key role in the growth of their servicing operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- As an Automatic Door Service Engineer, you’ll take responsibility for the maintenance and repair of a wide range of automatic door systems.
- Your focus will be on delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service across commercial and industrial sites.
- Your main duties will include:
- Diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and ensuring all work complies with BS 7036 and BS EN16005 standards
- Completing routine servicing of automatic doors
- Working additional hours when needed – overtime available at premium rates: 1.3x, 1.5x, 2x
- Clear communication with customers about work completed and any recommended future works
- Submitting accurate job reports, including stock used and evidence of completed work
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For
- We’re seeking someone with technical knowledge, a proactive mindset, and a strong work ethic.
- Essential:
- Proven experience with automatic door systems (service/maintenance)
- Full UK driving licence (clean)
- CSCS card
- ADSA or ADIA certification
- Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2 in a relevant field
- In-depth understanding of BS 7036 and BS EN16005
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
