About the Role

TSM Technical is working on behalf of a well-established client to recruit an experienced Industrial Door Engineer to work on military installations across the South West. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, dynamic team, delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and support for industrial door systems, including aircraft hangar doors.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop industrial door systems tailored to client requirements
  • Oversee installations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on existing door systems to ensure optimal functionality
  • Collaborate with clients to assess needs and provide expert recommendations
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions promptly
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including designs, installation procedures, and maintenance records
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in door technology

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as an Industrial Door Engineer or similar engineering role
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and engineering principles related to door technology
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • CAD experience desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in industrial environments
  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Security clearance required to access MOD sites
