We are recruiting Gate, Barrier & Automation Engineers for a rapidly expanding manufacturer and installer of automated gates, traffic barriers, rising bollards, turnstiles, automatic doors, and access control systems. Role Overview:
You’ll be responsible for the installation of a wide range of physical security and automation products, including:
- Automated gates (swing, sliding, bi-folding, telescopic, tracked)
- Traffic barriers
- Rising bollards
- Turnstiles and pedestrian access systems
- Automatic doors
- Access control systems (keypads, proximity readers, intercoms, etc.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing automated gates, barriers, bollards, turnstiles and access control products
- Mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, motor setup and control panel work
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and installation documents
- Completing RAMS, commissioning paperwork and compliance documentation
- Visiting customer sites across the region (occasional collection of parts from depot)
- Working with project and technical teams to ensure installations meet standards
- Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a safety-first approach
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Experience with tools, wiring, motors or electromechanical systems
- Ability to follow technical drawings
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Experience:
- Installation of: gates, barriers, bollards, turnstiles, automatic doors, access control
- Experience with automation brands such as: Roger Technology, BFT, FAAC, CAM
