Purpose of the Role

TSL is creating a new senior finance role located at its Gerrards Cross head office. The role of Group International Tax Manager is being created to bring in-house the technical expertise and tax compliance necessary for the Group to meet its international taxation obligations in every jurisdiction in which it operates. This role is ideal for a qualified tax professional who has experience of working for an international group of companies and is seeking a new challenging role providing a centre of excellence in corporation tax, transfer pricing, withholding tax and tax risk management. Experience of working within the construction and project management sectors will be an advantage but not a prerequisite.

As the Group International Tax Manager, you will take responsibility for corporation tax calculations, compliance and tax filings across all TSL subsidiaries and including the tax provisioning for group statutory reporting. The TSL group is subject to Pillar II BEPS compliance, country-by-country reporting and requirement to document and file the group’s transfer pricing policies which the successful candidate will be expected to meet all reporting deadlines.

This role is not limited to any one tax specialism. Instead the Group International Tax Manager will be an expert on 1-2 areas of tax and able to support the group across all tax areas by assisting with research activities and working with our in-country teams and partners to deliver accurate advice. Key Responsibilities

  • Tax Strategy and Planning
    • Develop and implement the group’s tax strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
    • Identify tax efficient structures, reliefs, and planning opportunities while managing associated risks.
    • Advise senior leadership on the tax implications of business decisions, investments, and cross border transactions.
  • Tax Compliance and Reporting
    • Oversee timely and accurate preparation and submission of all corporate tax, WHT and other statutory filings across the group.
    • Manage tax accounting including year end tax provisions, deferred tax calculations and reporting disclosures under UK GAAP.
    • Ensure compliance with global tax regulations, including BEPS Pillar II and transfer pricing documentation requirements.
  • Tax Risk Management and Governance
    • Maintain and enhance the group’s tax risk framework ensuring robust controls and documentation.
    • Lead tax audits, enquiries, and interactions with HMRC and other tax authorities.
    • Monitor legislative changes and assess their impact on the Group’s operations.
  • Business Partnering and Advisory
    • Provide tax guidance to finance, legal, HR, and operational teams.
    • Collaborate with existing external advisors to bring in-house routine tax calculations and submissions to reduce unnecessary external advisor expenditure.
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Coordinate with regional finance teams to ensure consistent tax processes and knowledge sharing.
    • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external tax advisors.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Qualified tax professional with post-qualification experience of working within an international group.
  • This role is not limited to any one tax specialism.   • Proficient in MS Excel and tax accounting software; experience with 4PS / Business Central and COINs an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrates diplomacy, professionalism, confidentiality, and impartiality.
  • Must be comfortable in sourcing information directly from finance systems and other sources.
  • Adaptable and flexible—able to manage shifting priorities and take initiative.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and a team player.
  • Personally accountable with a high level of ownership over assigned tasks.
