Main Duties and Responsibilities for the Document Controller:
- Coordination of all activities related to the Document Control procedure, including technical documents, drawings, and commercial correspondence.
- Technical management of document control system/platform (ACC and Procore)
- Quality Assurance check of submitted documentation according to TSP/Client standard
- Monitor due dates of drawings and technical submittal according to milestones
- Management of Request For Information status
- Control the creation and approval of project documents including management of the workflow set-up
- Management of As-built documents with Project/Design team
- Exercise version control where multiple versions of a document are maintained
- Manage storage of documents in a way that facilitates convenient retrieval of a particular document when needed.
- Ensure security and safety of documents with the dual objectives of preventing unauthorized access to documents and allowing recovery from physical damage or loss of documents.
- Generate the various document control reports as required.
- Archive old documents and disposing them at the end of their life.
- Development of document control system
- Reporting review of new document control tools, programs, and platforms
Skills and Experience Required for the Document Controller:
- Experience within a document control
- Experience of working with Aconex or a document control system
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills
- Good team player
- Strong ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
