We are seeking an experienced Concrete Technical Manager to lead and oversee all technical aspects of concrete production, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize concrete mix designs to meet project and client requirements
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, specifications, and regulations
- Oversee quality control and testing procedures for raw materials and finished concrete
- Provide technical support to production, sales, and site teams
- Investigate and resolve technical issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints
- Drive continuous improvement in product performance, durability, and cost efficiency
- Train and develop technical and laboratory staff
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies on technical matters
This will involve working in the UK and across Europe (unsure on the split currently).
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field
- Be able to read and understand specification documents
- Strong background in concrete technology and materials science
- Proven experience in ready-mix or precast concrete industry
- Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., ASTM, BS, EN, ACI, or local codes)
- Leadership and team management skills
