We are seeking an experienced Concrete Technical Manager to lead and oversee all technical aspects of concrete production, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize concrete mix designs to meet project and client requirements
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, specifications, and regulations
  • Oversee quality control and testing procedures for raw materials and finished concrete
  • Provide technical support to production, sales, and site teams
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints
  • Drive continuous improvement in product performance, durability, and cost efficiency
  • Train and develop technical and laboratory staff
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies on technical matters

This will involve working in the UK and across Europe (unsure on the split currently).

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field
  • Be able to read and understand specification documents
  • Strong background in concrete technology and materials science
  • Proven experience in ready-mix or precast concrete industry
  • Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., ASTM, BS, EN, ACI, or local codes)
  • Leadership and team management skills
