This role is based in Gerrards Cross but occasional travel to site expected including international. We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as an exceptional Azure Cloud Engineer. This pivotal role will involve providing top-notch IT cloud services to our esteemed TSL Projects users, ensuring swift and efficient resolution of all technical issues. As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for optimising infrastructure, enhancing operational performance, and ensuring reliability. This role provides a perfect balance between operational duties and engaging project work. You will be responsible for monitoring and managing the TSL infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability. This includes troubleshooting and resolving issues related to infrastructure tools such as Azure Services, Tenable, SonicWall, PowerShell & Ubiquity. The ideal candidate will specialise in a range of Azure services, while also leveraging expertise in on-premises technologies to support hybrid and migration scenarios. Main Duties and Responsibilities for the Azure Cloud Engineer: * You will collaborate with the Head of IT and the Infrastructure Cyber Security Engineering and Support Teams to comprehensively understand the strategy and pipeline for upcoming projects. * Establishing and overseeing cloud infrastructure and services, including Microsoft Azure, to optimise performance and efficiency. * Monitoring the TSL system’s performance and troubleshooting issues to ensure high availability and reliability. * Optimize and manage cloud infrastructure by provisioning and configuring virtual machines, containers, and storage solutions. * Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to streamline processes and improve efficiency in the operational infrastructure team. * Creating documentation for processes and procedures to ensure consistency and scalability. * Actively involved in building cloud security infrastructure in close collaboration with the TSL IT team. * Working with technical leads and partners to implement solutions and modernize our methods of operation. Hybrid Environment and Migrations Architecture: * Develop and implement migration strategies to transition outdated systems to modern, cloud-based management solutions. Facilitate co-management scenarios and integrate hybrid environments effectively. Cloud Design: * Effectively implement and maintain Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) to enhance identity management and strengthen access control * Develop design solutions for secure collaboration utilizing Microsoft 365 services, including Teams and SharePoint. * Streamline workflows and infrastructure management by utilizing PowerShell, Azure CLI, and the Graph API. Disaster Recovery: * Ensure IT disaster recovery is aligned to business continuity plans. * Implement and manage disaster recovery of key TSL platforms as well as regularly test restoration. Cloud Security: * Implement and manage Conditional Access, Infrastructure Endpoint Protection, and compliance standards. * Make sure to follow Zero Trust principles by implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA) and verifying device health. * Set up and manage cloud based advanced threat protection. Network Infrastructure: * Manage and maintain WAN / LAN infrastructure technology * Manage and maintain Firewall rules and security * Manage and maintain Wireless access solutions * ITIL framework knowledge Skills and Experience Required for the Azure Cloud Engineer: * In-depth knowledge of Azure Entra ID, including hybrid identity configurations such as Azure Connect Sync, Auto Pilot, and hybrid join. * Experience with on-premises technologies, including: * Active Directory and Group Policy. * File servers and network shares. * Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, and scripting for automation. * Solid knowledge of networking VPN, DNS, Conditional Access and security frameworks. * Must hold a driving licence Desirable but not essential for the Azure Cloud Engineer: * Experience in Ubiquity network solutions / SonicWall firewalls / Tenable vulnerability scanning and virtual server technologies Our recruitment team will review your CV and, if you meet our criteria, we will reach out to you for an informal discussion
