Job Overview:
As part of a restructuring of the business to adapt to changing trading conditions and a refreshed product roadmap, TSL is looking to recruit an inside‑sales focused Business Development Executive to play a key role in driving the next phase of growth of the global business. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new qualified leads into the global TSL sales funnel through representing the entire range of products and services, ultimately contributing to new growth of profitable business revenues, achieving sales objectives, and influencing product specifications in prospects' project planning including tender processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ).
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate new business by feeding the sales funnel with qualified leads for follow‑up and conversion.
- Exceed assigned targets for profitable lead generation translating into sales revenue volume.
- Establish and develop productive, professional relationships with key personnel.
- Acquire technical and application knowledge on all product lines.
- Collaborate with sales operations, customer delivery team, technical pre‑sales, technical support, product management, and marketing to optimise knowledge of relevant market verticals and industry trends.
- Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customers’ needs on an ongoing basis.
- Use CRM proactively to mine data, develop accounts & contacts, detail opportunities, and provide timely accurate forecasts.
- Report and present quarterly goals aligned to overall company and personal objectives.
- Serve as an ambassador for the company, promoting a positive image both internally and externally.
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Hunter mindset—minimum 3 years’ experience in sales above entry level.
- Highly results‑ and performance‑driven.
- Excellent communication skills and a preference for telephone first.
- Strong B2B sales presentation and enquiry skills with demonstrable sales performance achievements.
- Degree level education or relevant professional qualifications.
- Commercial acumen—understanding of COGS, gross margin and FX.
- Excellent written and oral English communication with confident presentation skills.
- Experience working in high‑pressure sales environments.
- Detail oriented, high level of accuracy, well organised, and PC literate.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a cross‑functional team.
- CRM experience.
- Knowledge of Broadcast, Pro Audio/Video or complementary industry(ies).
- Technical understanding of broadcast technology, production processes, workflows and especially control & monitoring solutions.
- Knowledge/relationships with relevant markets and customers.
- Understanding of existing TSL products and broadcast workflow.
- Second language competency.
