About the Role
Join TSI’s dynamic R&D team to drive innovation in dietary supplements. You will develop science-backed, commercially viable formulations across diverse health categories, supporting both internal initiatives and customer-driven projects. This role blends technical expertise with cross-functional collaboration to accelerate product development and market success. We are seeking a seasoned formulator with a solid understanding of EU supplement regulations and a strong background in developing formulations with clinically substantiated ingredients.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Formulation Development
- Lead formulation projects annually (customizations, updates, or full-scale developments).
- Ensure formulations are scientifically robust, compliant with EU regulations, and commercially viable, incorporating clinically supported ingredients where applicable.
- Maintain rigorous documentation and version control via TSI/TS platforms.
- Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with Sales, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment.
- Support sales with technical expertise during customer visits, presentations, and bid defenses.
- Innovation & Market Intelligence
- Contribute to TSI’s innovation pipeline by identifying trends, scientific advancements, and novel ingredients with clinical substantiation.
- Represent TSI at trade shows (e.g., Vitafoods) to showcase capabilities.
- Technical Content Creation
- Develop marketing/sales collateral (e.g., whitepapers, formulation rationale, claim support documents).

Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Food Science, Chemistry, Nutrition, or related field.
- Experience:
- 5–10 years in dietary supplement formulation with specific expertise in the EU market.
- Proven experience working with clinically substantiated ingredients and strong knowledge of EU food supplement regulations.
- Proficiency with formulation software (e.g., ESHA, Genesis) and PLM systems.
- Skills:
- Ability to translate scientific data into market-ready products.
- Strong project management and cross-functional leadership.
- Excellent communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
