TSG Building Services is a well established and fast expanding heating company working in occupied properties of local housing authorities. We are currently looking to recruit a Parts/Material Buyer to work in our busy Call Centre based in Potters Bar.
Responsibilities:
- Source and order parts/materials from approved stockists either via email or order book.
- Be aware of the Company's approved stockists and aim to achieve the best prices possible.
- Ensure correct parts have been delivered and checked off on the delivery note; identify and allocate parts to the correct department/site on delivery.
- Accurately process orders on the in-house system and regularly update internal documents.
- Liaise with suppliers regularly to ensure service delivery is at an acceptable level and highlight if this is not the case.
- Ensure returned items from engineers are logged correctly and that engineers comply with the Company's stock procedures.
- Monitor and ensure stocks and stock items are at the correct level; carry out regular stock checks and audits.
- Keep the parts database up to date and ensure all items are accounted for.
- Ensure parts still under warranty are returned to stockists to obtain credits/rebates.
- Take ownership of parts deliveries and ETA dates; maintain a turnaround time of three days to book parts and inform the necessary person if this is not achievable.
- Deal with and process a large number of parts on a daily basis.
