The successful candidate will live in London or the surrounding area as the role will require attending our office in Bishopsgate for collaborative working, along with some remote working. Treasury plays a central role in supporting TSB's strategy. Understanding the financial performance of our business, from branch level reconciliation through to high level strategy support, is essential to us bringing more competition to UK banking, making banking better for all UK customers. After all, good business decisions stem from accurate financial information.
At TSB Treasury, you will gain invaluable industry experience and the chance to collaborate with various teams, including Capital Funding & Liquidity Management (CF&L), Asset & Liability Management (ALM), Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), Wholesale Funding and Financial Resilience, Market Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk and the Front Office (dealing room) at our Head Office in London. You will have the opportunity to engage in:

We’re after motivated and talented individuals who are eager to develop and gain invaluable specialist knowledge. Could you help shape the future of Treasury within Banking? Working in a team responsible for the very core of the bank, you will have exposure to other areas such as Finance, Hedge Accounting, Oversight and many other aspects of day-to-day Treasury life.
In summary, interns will be one of the team. The programme includes a unique year in TSB, with a fully supported training and development plan, one-to-one mentoring with our experienced analysts, and meaningful work and experience within our Treasury Function.
Qualifications/Requirements
We’re looking for applications from students who:
- Are currently an undergraduate in their 2nd year of studies on track for a minimum 2:1 and can commit to full time employment for a year from June 2026 to July
- Ideally studying a relevant subject, such as maths, accountancy, economics, etc.
- Be highly numerate, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have an eye for detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Are team players, with good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Have a keen interest in learning more about the Treasury function of a bank.
- Ideally, candidates should have experience with Microsoft tools, such as Excel. Skills in VBA, SAS, R, or SQL are desirable but not essential.
